You’d think being abducted by aliens would be the worst thing that could happen to me. And you’d be wrong. Because now the aliens are having ship trouble, and they’ve left their cargo of human women–including me–on an ice planet.

We’re not equipped for life in this desolate winter wasteland. Since I’m the unofficial leader, I head out into the snow to look for help.

I find help all right. A big blue horned alien introduces himself in a rather . . . startling way. Vektal says that I’m his mate, his chosen female–and that the reason his chest is purring is because of my presence. He’ll help me and my people survive, but this poses a new problem.

If Vektal helps us survive, I’m not sure he’s going to want to let me go.

Ever since I landed on the smutty side of any book-related social media, this book has been reccomended to me. It’s been on my TBR for ever, and I’ve had the first paperback for months. But somehow, I never started it. I wished I had started this series sooner, because I am completely hooked! It has no business being this good, being this entertaining. Who knew I would fall for Alien Dick this hard?

A Great Dane can still make a Chihuahua pregnant,
guess which one you are.

Is this book a literary masterpiece? Absolutely not. But gods, did I enjoy this book from beginning to end! I went in expecting nothing but smut, but was hit in the face with a side-dish of plot. From the very first chapter, this book sucked me in and it didn’t let go. This is definitely one of those books where the saying ‘I didn’t say it was good, I said that I enjoyed it’ fits, because that’s exactly the case. A simple and fun read, to numb my brain and simply enjoy some alien porn.

Surprisingly enough, I quite liked the character of Georgie and all of the other girls. Though I have to say that my favourite character might be Liz. What can I say? I like my characters bratty and spicy. There is no use denying that.

Book one is the love story between Georgie and Vektal, which felt like the perfect start of the series. It felt a little more tame, and I expect the rest of the series to blow my socks off.

Next to the obvious smut scenes, there also was a lot of other things going on. The human girls have to get used to a new planet, and Georgie has to deal with her feelings. The development in this particular book felt as if it was a perfect set-up for the future books in this series. Georgie felt like a natural-born leader, just like Vektal. This, for me, has been their strength. Their pairing made sense in that way, and it was flavoured just enough to be entertaining without being repetitive.

Fated mates is a trope that has my heart, and always will have. Soulmates, tethers, whatever you want to call it. You can wake me up in the middle of the night for this trope and I will gobble it up, no problem. The book had a few Omegaverse-like aspects to it, which is another weakspot of mine. It was unique enough to not feel like a cheap knock-off omegaverse book, while having enough similarities to make me beyond enthusiastic.

And the whole ‘a tribe full of men without enough women for all of them’ thing they had going on? Well, it definitely did it for me!

Would I lable this book as a dark romance? No, absolutely not. Some had said to me that this book was pretty dark, but it felt like the opposite. After the first part of the book, where we have some darkish themes like rape, it calms down pretty quickly. Of course I can 100% imagine the beginning of the book to be somewhat triggering for some. But if you’re a seasoned Dark Romance reader, then this book is a breeze. While the few dark themes do add flavour to the whole situation, it isn’t the main focus point, and that’s the biggest difference between this smut-driven story and a Dark Romance for me.

I feel like there’s an alien bingo card somewhere that just got checked off.
Horns? Check. Tail? Check. Crazy-ass cock? Check, check, check.

This book definitely was not what I had been expecting, but it was a positive surprise! The book is rather short, with a little less than 200 pages. I blew through it within two days, not able to put it down. This world has completely captivated me. And besides that, the aliens are sexy as hell. Horns? Check. Tail? Check. A huge dick? Check, check. Size kink goes brrr.

Good bits

Bad bits

  • Omegaverse vibes without being an exact copy
  • Size kink goes brrr
  • A captivating planet with fun world-building
  • Characters feel less flat than I expected
  • Sexy Aliens, a lot of them
  • The plot is actually surprisingly interesting
  • Sets up the vibe for the next books really well
  • Less sex-scenes than I expected
  • Had to get used to the format

All in all a book I would definitely reccomend my more dirty-minded book-friends. There is cuteness, there is a little smudge of darkness, there is alien dick, there is a omegaverse vibe. I loved this book to bits!
