Quick Thoughts
One of the hardest books I’ve read this year, but in a good way! Such an emotional rollercoaster.

This book was an ARC and given to me for free.
All reviews are entirely honest and my own opinion.

The God of Sin
Every year, for eight weeks, Hellish Gods walk the Earth.
Halloween summons me and my lover, the God of Lust, to collect energy from human vice—the dark nectar that sustains my Realm. But this time, Lust captures something… special.
Everest Blue.
A devastatingly reckless mortal with a death wish. The very thought of her suicide is… unacceptable.
She doesn’t know it yet, but she’s ours. Every scream, every wet nightmare, every ounce of her pleasure belongs to us — to command, to feed from. Her fantasies alone could fuel my Realm for eternity. And that’s precisely why she’ll never escape.
But by the time Halloween is over, I’m certain that she won’t want to be set free.

The thing that I liked most about this book was that it had really good depression representation. The Female Main Character has constant suicidal thoughts and I was really feeling the emotions. It was so well done, that it was the entire reason why I fell so in love with this book.

Nympho Notes definitely is a book where you have to mind the trigger warnings. It might be one of the hardest books I’ve read this year, but that’s mostly because I’ve suffered from depression myself. The Female Main Character’s emotions felt so real. They hit a little bit too close to home at times, and this really wrenched my heart.

Holly really knows how to write a story. There was a really good balance between the spicy scenes, the emotions, character development and plot. It was so easy to read as well. Holly has a very casual writing style, which makes for a very comfortable read. It’s not as fast paced as I normally like my books, so it took me a bit longer to finish Nympho Notes than a book normally would, but it was still oh so very good!

Now, you’ve probably seen that I’ve rated this book 4 stars instead of 5 stars. This is because some of the scenes dragged out a little. It took away the pacing of the book, some descriptions just a bit too long. But that is one of the very few notes I have on this book.

It’s dark and twisted, just how I like my books. The emotions are raw and real. And there is so much character development, especially for the Main Male Character Sin. I thought Lust had a little less development and I would have liked to see just a bit more of him. I was incredibly curious to his character and in the end was left with a few questions unanswered. That isn’t to say that he got no development at all, but I would have liked just a bit more. Everest also gets plenty of development, which probably is why the fact that Lust gets a little less growth stood out to me.

All that being said, this book was incredibly good and such a fun read! It’s a MMF, and the relationship between the three characters worked really well! I feel like I missed some things on my first read through and want to read this book again somewhere in the future. It is not often that I like to re-read a story, so that really says something about this book! I can’t wait to give this book another go, for all the delicious spicy scenes and the amazing story.

Good bits

Bad bits

  • Emotional rollercoaster
  • Nice character development
  • Casual & easy to read writing style
  • The spice scenes are very hot
  • One character gets a little less development
  • The pacing felt off sometimes, slowing down my reading speed

Nympho Notes was a lovely MMF with an emotional rollercoaster as its story line. It’s raw and real, sometimes hitting a little too close to home. Please check your trigger warnings. But if you’re okay with all of that, then I would definitely recommend picking up this book!
