There really isn’t much to say about this book. It definitely is as short as all the other Novella’s I’ve read. It was a quick and fun read, one that introduced me to the writer and their writing style. It definitely piqued my interest, and I will be looking at full books from Katee somewhere in the future.

The story is pretty straight forward: A guy cheats just before their wedding, and the good girl goes bad. She has been harbouring a crush on her ex-fiancee’s dad and decides to act on it. A taboo-book to its core, and pretty entertaining as well!
If you are looking for an easy smutty book to read you don’t have to look very far. This is the book for you! From start to finish it is loaded with smutty scenes, delving into the daddy-kink and giving it a run of its money. The book is pure filth, and I absolutely love that.
It’s best to go into this novella without any expectations. There isn’t a lot a lot of character development, or even a whole lot of plot besides the whole daddy-kink and the cheating fiancee. The getting-caught scene also felt a little lackluster, I had expected a little bit more drama.
That being said, it has plenty of spicy smut scenes. Shane and Lily were going at it every single chapter, almost even every single page. There are some smut scenes that were a little more on the creative side, which really spiced the novella up for me. It is 150 pages filled with pure smut, so if that is what you are looking for, this book is perfect!
There was one thing in this book that I really liked. And that was the aftermath of the whole thing. I am not going to spoil it all, but I just like it if there is a more realistic reaction when a character’s heart gets smashed to pieces. At first, I didn’t think this book would give me that. After all, it was filled to the brim with taboo and smut. But in the last part of the book, I was pleasantly surprised!
Character wise, I like my Male Main Characters a little bit more possessive than that Shane was. But this book was still properly entertaining for my little squirrel brain. The age-gap was well thought out and the taboo daddy x daughter-in-law (or almost) was a constant theme through the book. This novella gives you exactly what the title is suggesting. I love it when a book has a title that comes directly to its point.

All in all, this novella was entertaining. It didn’t wow me and some things could have been a little better. So I can’t give it any higher than 3 stars, simply because it lacks plot and development. It’s definitely a book you should grab if you are looking for a smutty read.
